JDG Estate Agents are officially named as the BEST Agents in the UK

On Wednesday 3^rd November 1,500 of the leading estate and letting agents and suppliers from across the UK gathered for the biggest estate agency event in the country, where the results of this year’s Best Estate Agent Guide Awards were announced.

Over 15,000 estate agencies are included in the assessment, which is conducted by Property Academy, supported by the UK’s leading property portal, Rightmove.

Each office is scored against a unique set of criteria looking at property marketing, customer service, and results – which are determined following a survey of 30,000 buyers, sellers, landlords, and renters.

There follows a whole of market assessment, using a combination of data analysis, mystery shopping, and a website review to identify the best agencies in the country.

JDG Estate Agents was delighted to be recognised for their dedication to providing the very highest levels of service.

The last year has been one of the toughest in our industry working through so many challenges that the pandemic has thrown at us.  We have a great team at JDG and this award is in many ways recognition of the way they have risen to the challenge.

Like many industries, we have had to juggle home working, homeschooling, self-isolating.    During the lockdown, we looked closely at how our sellers, buyers, landlords, and tenants' needs and desires were changing.   We looked for, and found, better ways to market our clients’ homes and embraced different technologies from video calling through to 4k video tours.

We made many changes including making our property brochures fully interactive. This gives our buyers a better experience and one where they can be better informed, even including details such as broadband speeds, transport links, and school results.    We also continued our mission to offer a very personal service in the way we communicate with our clients.  

For a small, north-west independent agency like ours to win the BIGGEST award in our industry truly is an honour’

JDG Estate Agents was opened in Lancaster in 1989 by John Gallagher.   His wife Michelle Gallagher joined the company in 2001.  The company employs 8 staff and covers Lancaster and Morecambe.    The owners take a very hands-on approach with Michelle leading the sales team and Josh Heron who was promoted to director level in 2021 leading the lettings team.
