Feel Good Friday - Episode 16 Good Friday in Lancaster and Morecambe- Episode 16

Lancaster

We start in Lancaster where one of the city centres popular streets has been awarded over £86,000 for future cultural investment!  North Road, Lancaster is part of the 'Lancaster High Streets Heritage Action Zone (HSHAZ)' and a project (funded by Historic England) will be focused around what is known locally as the Mill Race area of the city.  The project has a working title of 'Mill Race: Flow of Change’ and will celebrate this area being an important part of Lancaster, focusing on its rich history, heritage and plans for the future. 

Morecambe

Football now and we are delighted to hear that Morecambe FC are off to Wembley!

For only the 3rd time in their 100 year history, The Shrimps are heading down to Wembley Way hoping to repeat the success of their last trip, with a win against Newport County this coming Monday!  Promotion to League One is up for grabs and Derek Adams will be hoping to bring back the Play-Off silverware to Morecambe...COME ON THE SHRIMPS!   If you have been one of the 3,949 Morecambe fans to get a ticket, let us know about it- we would love to hear your story! 

It's Bank Holiday Weekend and if your a fan of all things 80s, put down the Rubik's cube, dust off the shoulder pads, grab the neon leg warmers and get yourself down to The Trimpell for their '80s Weekend'!  With a predicted good weather forecast, an outdoor stage and entertainment from Jason Le Bon, Mark McKenna and Steve Middlesbrough's 'Club Tropicana' DJ set - this sounds like a fantastic evening! 

And finally...have you enjoyed watching the 'Friends Reunion Show' this week?  We never thought we'd ever see Ross, Rachel, Joey, Chandler, Monica and Phoebe on our screens again (not counting the 10 season episode reruns of course!).  It was great to catch up with the actors, their characters, the many special guests and fans of the show...if your a fan but not seen it yet - we recommend you do!
