Morecambe is a seaside town which split into two main postcode areas.  LA3 and LA4.  As part of our exploration into LA4, we thought we would take a closer look at how the local property market has changed over the years.

Morecambe is a traditional seaside town.  It is famous for it’s Morecambe Bay Potted Shrimps, stunning sunsets and of course, the comedian Eric Morecambe.    Many of the beaches are blue flag,  the views across Morecambe Bay are fabulous.   The promenade extends for miles, making it great for families,  cyclists and walkers.  But what about its property?  

As well as stunning sunsets, fantastic views across the Bay and fresh sea air, when you ask the people of Morecambe what they also love about this area many will say the local amenities on the doorstep.

With a mix of local independent businesses, the market, local shopping centre and the library plus national brands too such as the supermarket chains like Morrisons and Aldi and stores such as Next and Homebase, everything you need for day to day living is on the doorstep. 

Someone once said to me, "there is never incorrect weather, just incorrect clothing!"...

Whilst safety must always be observed whilst out walking, I must admit I am inclined to agree with this statement.  Morecambe Promenade offers a wonderful opportunity to stretch the legs and take in some fresh air. On a clear day, the views are pretty awesome too, not to mention some of the best sunsets I have ever seen!

I’m an Estate Agent and by my own admission a nosey one too.  I believe to be successful in this industry you need to know about the home you are selling.  In many ways, I feel it is like buying a car.  Surely you would want to know the full-service history of the vehicle so why should a house be any different?

Morecambe is much more than just a seaside resort.  The bay is beautiful, the views are fabulous and the sunsets are renowned worldwide.  But what about its past?  The LA4 postcode in Morecambe has a lot to offer in terms of heritage. For those people who are interested in history and historical buildings,  Morecambe is well worth a visit.  We have some beautiful buildings and architecture spread across the region.

There are so many reasons why I love living in Bare, too many to list in fact!  So I decided the best way to describe what makes me happy about living in this area was to tell you all about a typical Saturday spent in LA4 - I don't get many Saturdays off being an estate agent,  so when I do, I like to make the most of the day!

Happy Mount Park provides both locals and tourists alike, no matter what age, with a parkland setting, just off the promenade, offering many activities from a gentle stroll to running through the interactive sprinkler system know as The Splash Park!   It is exceptionally popular and is one of Morecambe's free to visit all year round attractions.  It's a place you'll often find members of the JDG team visiting.   Graham enjoys his jogging and running,  Sarah is often there with the grandchildren!
